about me

Zac GIll sitting on a white chair against a plain gray wall smiling at the camera with his right leg crossed over his left knee.

Hi. I am Zac Gill. I help museums, zoos and aquariums deliver show-stopping exhibitions. I am an activation designer focusing on ecological and behavioural change, a project manager and a diplomat bridging the creative vision and the real-world delivery.

For fifteen years I have collaborated with renowned architectural firm, engaging effectively with stakeholders ranging from government authorities, engineers to marine biologists.

I also sat with spreadsheets; I chased savings and value engineering outcomes working as a Director of Global Business Development for an exhibit contractor.

But a larger question arose. How do we measure change in people? How does zoos, aquariums and museum make a visitor think and act differently?

Now I design for change. I want people to see, to feel, to play, and to think. I want them to leave changed.

My innate curiosity in how things, evolve, function, and thrive informs my design practice as I combine thematic storytelling, product development and prototyping, and detail orientated design thinking. I can still whip up a mean spreadsheet or Gantt chart, project manage teams and lead complex contract negotiations.

In my spare time you can find me frolicking and floating around in the big blue ocean.
